Where did all the noise go?
February 27, 2008 on 12:17 pm | In New Scrapbooking Products, Scrapbooking Tips | 3 CommentsOkay….I have to admit! I was a little miffed when I found out! I have been holding out for quite some time now…and i finally gave in. My Mum wouldn’t scrap with me because of my habit. The girlz always complained about my problem. TMZ couldn’t understand why I’m still in the dark ages! So here goes…..
I am a whack-a-holic! I love using my hammer and hole punch/eyelet setter! I just love making noise! I don’t give you fair warning either! There is no BEEP BEEP BEEP before the noise commences! See the problem!?
So I break down…after a long inner battle! And buy the new wonder tool. A sure thing I’m told by many! Only to find out a few weeks later…..they have made a new version…and it’s five times better than the one I have! What’s up with that?
okay…I’m still happy with my purchase. The Crop A Dile is a great investment. And it doesn’t take me near the amount of time to make a hole or set and eyelet. But….you know I’m going to have to break down and get the new and improved version right? It makes holes and sets eyelets in the middle of a 12×12 size paper or project! How flippin’ cool is that?! And TMZ has them in stock right now!
So stay tuned! I have a new project coming up you’re gonna love (i hope…hehehe)!

Have you EVER said this to yourself, out loud, while your tossing all your papers and tools around trying to find you package of acrylic stamps?
And when you finally find them under the creative mess, do you cringe while you PEEL them off the backing?
You can ask any of my fellow Design Team girlz….i talk to my tools while I work. And I get frustrated with my current setup, of my quickly rising stash of acrylic stamps. So when I spotted Tim Holtz new line for storing your unmounted stamps…..I was really interested!
There are 5 sturdy pockets in a package. And the process from chaos to organized is fairly simple. I gathered all my acrylic stamps (you can get the unmounted ones too) and started taking each set off the backing and slipping the stamp outlines into the pockets. Then i could place the stamps directly onto the outside of the pocket on it’s outline.
I even went as far as Tim did and put pink cardstock in the pockets so I could use both sides of the pocket! With those five pockets, I was able to store 5 small stamps, 8 regular size sets, and a 12×12 Fancy Pants set! Now that’s what I call organized!
Tim even made a case and binder to store the pockets and stamp mounts in for an all-in-one storage solution.
Well, looks like I’ve taken one more step towards trying to be balanced for 2008. And I’m still headed in the right direction! Want to follow me?
Enjoy!

*glitter goodness*
February 12, 2008 on 4:10 pm | In Papercrafts, Scrapbooking Techniques, Scrapbooking Tips | 1 CommentKeeping in the spirit of things lately….I thought we’d play with one of my favorite products!
GLITTER! That’s right! I said it! And you’ll need to pull out your stamps for this one.
I played with a new product too. The Essential Glue Pad from Tsukineko. You get the refillable pad and a small glue bottle in the package. Just follow the directions for applying glue to the glue pad, and use any of your washable stamps. For this project I pulled out the big guns….. Fancy Pants 12×12 Mod Stamps. They have quite a few hearts in this one and a smooch too boot.
After I stamped a few images for the first layer of the tag, I stamped the glue image right on top for the 2nd layer. Apply the glitter soon, you don’t want the glue to start drying out. And wahla! A perfectly stamped glitter image!
It doesn’t get any better than that! Next time you could try gold leafing, chalk or flock instead of glitter.
Enjoy!

Valentine tag…
February 7, 2008 on 3:05 pm | In Embellishments, Papercrafts, Uncategorized | 2 CommentsAre you looking for more Valentine inspiration?

I hope so! I have a little tag treat for you. All you’ll need
is some Heidi Swapp goodness, Creative Café treats and
a little imagination!
I used the tag as my base. Using some fresh bling (rhinestones)
and some funky rubz (rub on wings), I was able to put together
this fun tag to give to my someone special for Valentine’s Day.
See some things you don’t recognize? How about some Elsie and Doodlebug.
Cheers!
