The news headlines this week have been extraordinary…Ed McMahan, Farra Faucett, and now Michael Jackson?

“Who is Michael Jackson?”, my 10 year old daughter asks.  “Wasn’t he a country singer?”  “Country, no but when he was the “King of Pop” and everyone in this country knew who he was.”    My how time flies with out even blinking an eye.

What else do you remember from your childhood?  Did you stay up late on Wednesdays to catch EVERY episode of “Charlie’s Angels” like my sister did?  Where you a PRO at the “Moonwalk”?  What was your favorite childhood candy?  Did you live through and remember today the PALM SUNDAY Tornado?

My point here is that at the moment I realized my children have no idea what I enjoyed as a child,  I realized the many memories and stories I have never shared with them.

I think this is a great reminder of what scrapbooking is really all about….leaving our legacy…letting those who come after us know what it was like before them.  All this being said, I challenge you…create at least ONE layout this week, that is about you as a child…allow your self to tell a story about ANYTHING from your past…what was your favorite toy? who was your favorite artist?  what did you want to be when you grew up?

Come up with your own questions and answers.   When you get the layouts done, feel free to share them in our gallery.  I think this will be fun…I bet we find many of us have a lot in common from our past!  Have fun!
