I am a wife to my wonderful husband, Alan,
since 2000. I am also a mother to two children,
a 15 year old son (Jordan), from a previous
marriage, and a 4 year old daughter (Brooke)
with my husband. We live out in the country
south of Plymouth & we love to go camping
with friends, whenever we get the chance, plus
the many other activities we enjoy doing.
I have been pretty crafty most of my life,
however, my favorite hobby is scrapbooking,
including other paper crafts, like altering & just
recently cards. I started scrapbooking in 1996
when my best friend took me to a Creative Memories
party. I don’t want to just put pictures
on an acid-free page & write down the facts
that occurred. I want my pages to evoke
the emotions that go along with why the picture
was taken. My husband doesn’t “get
into” my scrapping the way I do, but
I know I’ve done a good job when he looks
at a page about his daughter, & reads the
words, that it makes him feel something deep
in his heart. THAT is what scrapbooking
is all about, to me.
You could say that I collect scrapbooking
supplies & you would believe that just
by looking at my scrap room. Believe me, I
have every intention of using the stuff I have – some
day. Other things I enjoy are going to
garage sales, making trash to treasures, cooking
(sometimes) & gardening. I love to take
pictures of my garden, the wildlife & nature
that’s around us.
