Hurford - President
I live at
Koontz Lake, IN, with my husband of nearly
12 years, Jeff. Together we have three children,
two sons and a daughter. Greg is a Junior in
high school, Blake is in the 4th grade and
Jami is in 1st. Greg keeps himself occupied
on the computer most of the time, while Blake
is very active in extra curricular activities
(Basketball, Football & Baseball) busy
year round. Jami, well, she runs the house,
just like all the other princesses!
I am a graduate of Oregon Davis High school
and attended Indiana University of South Bend.
I am a graduate of CKU-Indiana, CKU-Retailer
2002 & 2004. I love to scrapbook and love
people, that is why I do what I do on a daily
basis! It never fails, just when I think I
am too tired to go on, one of our wonderful
customers will remind me just how much I love
what I do!
My favorite things to work with are distressing
ink pads and paints. I love the DOODLE concept
right now and am having fun with it lately!
I NEVER scrap without my Pages By Design Templates
and I have more idea books than any one person
needs. My favorite lines are Heidi Swapp, love
the BLING, and DAISY BUCKET!!!!! O MY!

I am married to Matt, we live at Koontz Lake,
IN where we have three children, Mia (1998),
Maddison (1999), and Mason (2001). I graduated
from Oregon Davis High School (1993) and went
on to college and Graduated with a Degree as
a Physical Therapist Assistant.
I am a graduate of CKU-Indiana and CKU-R Orlando
and CKU-R Nashville. I enjoy learning and teaching
the latest and greatest as well as the tried
and true techniques and trends in the industry.
I began scrapbooking in 1998 while expecting
my first child. I then introduced my sister
(Rhonda) to the hobby which in turn become
the start of what we all know and love as The
Memory Zone Scrapbook Store (2001). After helping
out with the opening and becoming a manager
of the downtown store, Rhonda and I became
partners when we moved to the current location
in 2003.
I have been referred to on occasion as the "Quickutz
Queen" while I am not sure that is actually
true, I do have my fair share and I have to
say that Quickutz is truly my favorite tool!
I am also HUGE into the whole bling thing right
now. Bling on the embellishments! As for my
favorite papers, I would have to say Daisy's
Bucket, have you touched these papers...you
won't
be able to resist.
While I am a Physical Therapist Assistant
by trade and have always enjoyed being with
and helping people, I never imagined the joys
that could come out of owning a scrapbook store,
I guess that what I never thought about was
what it really means... it is all about the
emotions of our lives, good, bad, happy, or
sad.
I take pride in being able to serve you, the
customer by providing you with more than just
products. The ability to be here when someone
needs a break, a laugh or a shoulder to cry
on, is far more rewarding than anyone could
imagine. Watching families grow and milestones
be achieved brings a smile to our face every
day. While along with the good come some bad,
we are also here and comfort the pain when
things are not so bright. It is with great
joy that we have shared the first six years
with you and look forward to many more.
